YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things, not for facts and figures, which is what /r/TodayILearned is for. "1904 Marriage Bloggs / Blah" and then it makes it easier when searching.īut I haven't used RM, so I'm not sure I've been very helpful.A community to share tips and tricks that will help yourself improve on activities, skills and various other tasks. I add the Sources not from the Profile view (you're right about nightmare) but rather as their own entities and then add the referenced people from there. I also like the "To Dos" and the Notes area (I especially use the Notes area of a source to put in Transcripts of newspaper articles or letters). The only quibble I have with it is the "one size fits all" with details of an "event". I tried a few different programs (even one on a Win machine). It's a small gesture but seriously, respect peoples' time & effort in helping you out. It's perfectly OK to ask for any info if you're looking for fresh leads, but you can help people to focus their efforts & look at the correct sources if you are more specific.
